Lounge License Suspended For The Gulnare Restaurant & Pub

The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission has suspended the lounge license of “The Gulnare Restaurant & Pub”, license number LL-40-154, located in Cardigan, for the following period of time, that is: for a twenty-eight (28) consecutive day period - commencing 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2007, and ending 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007.

The Liquor Control Commission is satisfied that violations of the Liquor Control Act Regulations took place under the following sections which read as follows:

Section 70. (a)

A licensee shall not permit any liquor to be taken from or into the licensed premises otherwise than is permitted by the Act and these regulations.

Section 70. (j)

A licensee shall not sell or supply any liquor on his licensed premises to or for any person who is apparently in an intoxicated condition.

Section 70.(l)

A licensee shall not permit any person under the age of nineteen years to enter, be in or remain in the rooms in which bars are located or liquor is being served during hours liquor is being consumed.
