Anne of Green Gables, and other works of L.M. Montgomery, are now available from provincial libraries for use in book clubs throughout the province.
To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the publication of Anne of Green Gables, the Provincial Library Service is offering many novels by LM Montgomery as part of its popular “Book Club in a Bag” program. Forty new book club bags are available featuring novels of LM Montgomery.
“Many of Montgomery’s stories can now be read, enjoyed and shared by book club participants in communities across Prince Edward Island,” said Minister Bertram. “The Book Club in a Bag service is a wonderful way to encourage and support reading and can re-introduce readers to Montgomery’s wonderful imagination.”
A Book Club in a Bag is a tote bag containing 10 copies of a specific book and questions to encourage discussion. The L.M. Montgomery books are an addition to the current book club service, which includes 60 titles.
The book club bags may be reserved in person at any of the 26 public libraries on Prince Edward Island or on-line at www.library.pe.ca
