If you've golfed The Links at Crowbush Cove, you already know it's a memorable experience. Overlooking the north shore dunes, Crowbush continues to enthral players with its breathtaking panoramic views, undulating fairways, water holes, challenging greens and ever-present ocean breezes. This first-class course is turning ten years old in 2003 and Golf Links PEI is getting ready to celebrate.
"The golf industry has experienced huge growth over the 10-year span of the life of Crowbush," noted Tourism Minister, Jeffrey Lantz. "Much of the tourism industry has been impacted in a positive way as a result of golf events, promotional packages, and a strong reputation as the place to play golf."
With its seaside setting, and the creative instincts of course designer Thomas McBroom, Crowbush Cove offers the golfer a British-links experience they'll never forget. In 1994, Crowbush was recognized by Golf Digest magazine as the best new golf course in Canada. Working closely with the Island's accommodation providers, private sector golf courses and Golf PEI, Golf Links PEI has helped to secure the Island's reputation as Canada's best golf destination, according to readers of Score, Canada's most popular golf magazine. Golf Links PEI manages, operates and markets Prince Edward Island's provincially-owned golf courses, The Links at Crowbush Cove, Brudenell, Mill River and Dundarave.
"The 10th Anniversary will mark Crowbush's pivotal role in the province's golf development." He added, "We are offering patrons the opportunity to purchase 10th Anniversary Gold Cards, which are available in limited supply. We will also focus on a number of operational enhancements this year, all designed to add to the guest experience including special on-course contests between June and September."
Crowbush is a golfer's dream, and if you manage to tame the 6,903 yards at Crowbush, you should be able to play well anywhere.
