The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission has suspended the lounge operation known as “Ruthie’s Pub & Eatery,” license number LL-70-201, located in Victoria, for the following period of time, that is:
for a three (3) consecutive day period - commencing 11 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2008 up to and including 11 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2008.
The Liquor Control Commission is satisfied that violations of the Liquor Control Act Regulations and Commission Policies took place as follows:
Liquor Control Act Regulations
Section 78 All licensed premises shall be vacated not later than one half hour after the prescribed closing hour.
PEI Liquor Control Commission Licensee Policy Manual
Section 4.1 Drinks must be consumed and the premises cleared of patrons one half hour after the prescribed closing hour.
Section 4.5 No person, including working and non-working staff, are permitted to consume any liquor on the premises after the prescribed hours of operation.
This Suspension does not affect the operation of the dining-room at Ruthie’s Pub & Eatery which may continue to observe its normal hours of operation during this period.
