The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission has suspended the lounge operation known as “Red’s Corner,” license number LL100246, located at Pooles Corner, Cardigan, for the following period of time, that is:
for a twelve (12) day period as follows:
• Thursday, November 1, 2012, 9 a.m. to Friday, November 2, 2012, 9 a.m.;
• Saturday, November 3, 2012, 9 a.m. to Sunday, November 4, 2012, 9 a.m.;
• Monday, November 5, 2012, 9 a.m. to Saturday, November 10, 2012, 9 a.m.; and
• Monday, November 12, 2012, 9 a.m. to Saturday, November 17, 2012, 9 a.m.
The Liquor Control Commission is satisfied that violations of the Liquor Control Act Regulations took place under the following sections which read as follows:
Section 25 ~ The licensee or person in charge of a lounge shall require evidence of the age of a person suspected to be under 19 years of age who is entering into or present on the premises of a lounge, in the manner prescribed by the Commission.
Section 70(a) ~ A licensee shall not permit any liquor to be taken from or into his licensed premises otherwise than is permitted by the Act and these regulations.
Section 70(j) ~ A licensee shall not sell or supply any liquor on his licensed premises to or for any person who is apparently in an intoxicated condition.
Section 74.1(b) ~ A licensee may permit any person under the age of nineteen years to enter, be in or remain in the licensed premises where the licensee holds a written approval issued by the Commission under Section 74.2
This Suspension does not affect the operation of the dining room at Red’s Corner which may continue to observe its normal hours of operation during this period.
