License Suspended for O'Shea's Pub

The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission has suspended the lounge operation known as “O’Shea’s Pub,” license number LL 40 - 150, located in Kinkora, for the following period of time, that is:

for an eleven (11) consecutive day period - commencing 11 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2005, up to and including 2 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2005.

The Liquor Control Commission is satisfied that violations of the Liquor Control Act and Liquor Control Act Regulations took place under the following sections:

Liquor Control Act Regulations

1. 78 All licensed premises shall be vacated not later than one-half hour

after the prescribed closing hour.

70(a) A licensee shall not permit any liquor to be taken from or into his licensed premises otherwise than is permitted by the Act and these regulations.

70(j) A licensee shall not sell or supply any liquor on his licensed premises to or for any person who is apparently in an intoxicated condition.

2. Policy “Closing Hours” Pg. 4.1 of License Policy Manual

Under Section 75, the commission has approved closing hours of 2 a.m

This Suspension does not affect the operation of O’Shea’s Dining-room which may continue to observe its normal hours of operation during this period.
