The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission has suspended the club liquor license, license number CL970020, for the premises known as “C.N. Pensioners Club” located at 281 King Street, Charlottetown, for the following period of time, that is:
for a period of three (3) days for violation of Section 37.(a) and for a period of three (3) days for violation of Section 70. (a) said suspensions to be served consecutively for a total cumulative suspension of six (6) days commencing 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2006 up to and including 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2006.
The Commission was satisfied that violations of the Liquor Control Act Regulations took place under the following sections:
Liquor Control Act Regulations - Section 37(a)
“Subject to the Act and orders of the Commission, a licensee may serve liquor in the licensed premises of a club on every day of the week, except Sunday, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. the following day,”
and
Liquor Control Act Regulations - Section 70(a)
“A licensee shall not permit any liquor to be taken from or into his licensed premises otherwise than is permitted by the Act and these regulations.”
