License Suspended for Carr's Oyster Bar

The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission has suspended the lounge operation known as “Carr’s Oyster Bar”, license number LL-00-090, located in Stanley Bridge, for the following period of time, that is:

for a three (3) consecutive day period - commencing 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 4, 2008 up to and including 12 noon, Sunday, September 7, 2008.

The Liquor Control Commission is satisfied that violations of the Liquor Control Act and Regulations took place as follows:

Liquor Control Act - Section 40 (4)

The holder of a liquor license or his employee shall, before serving any person who appears to be under the age of nineteen years, demand proof that the person is of the age of nineteen years or over.

Liquor Control Act Regulations - Section 70 (a)

A licensee shall not permit any liquor to be taken from or into his licensed premises otherwise than is permitted by the Act and these regulations.

This Suspension does not affect the operation of the dining-room at Carr’s Oyster Bar which may continue to observe its normal hours of operation during this period.
