Legislative Assembly Will Convene November 23

Premier Pat Binns announced today that he has requested the Speaker to open the Prince Edward Island Legislative Assembly on Thursday, November 23, 2000.

The Second Session of the 61st General Assembly will begin at 3 p.m. with the reading of the Speech from the Throne by the Honourable Gilbert R. Clements, Lieutenant Governor.

In the Throne Speech, the Government will outline its policy agenda and its commitment to continue to implement the mandate which Islanders endorsed in April.
