Islanders invited to participate in the Health PEI annual general meeting November 19

Islanders can take part in the Health PEI Annual General Meeting in Charlottetown on November 19 by attending in person, or by watching online, says Health PEI Board Chair, Phyllis Horne.

“We encourage all Islanders to take part in the meeting at Murchison Centre or by following the meeting on the Health PEI website,” said Horne. “The theme for this year’s meeting is determinants of healthy aging. We are pleased to have Dr. Judy Lynn Richards, a gerontologist and social demographer, as the guest speaker.”

The meeting takes place at Murchison Centre (17 St. Pius X Ave.) in Charlottetown at 6:30 p.m. on November 19, but Islanders can also watch and submit questions electronically from Prince County Hospital in Summerside.

Anyone can also follow the proceedings on the web at www.healthpei.ca/annualmeeting and submit questions via online chat.

Board Chair, Phyllis Horne and Health PEI CEO, Dr. Richard Wedge will provide updates, and there will be a financial report and a moderated panel discussion. On-site interpretation services will be available in French.

Further information, including Dr. Richards’ biography, can be found on the Health PEI website at the link noted above.
