There will be over 20 leading Prince Edward Island (PEI) food and beverage processors exhibiting at the 1st Annual Taste of Prince Edward Island Food and Beverage Showcase scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2003. The showcase will be held at the Culinary Institute of Canada at the Atlantic Tourism Hospitality Institute in Charlottetown from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

It is the first year that an event of this nature has been offered to PEI consumers. "The Government of Prince Edward Island is committed to the continued growth and success of the PEI Food and Beverage Processing Industry," said Mike Currie, Minister of Development and Technology. "It is our intent that through this year's showcase both Islanders and visitors will find more PEI products on grocery store shelves, on favourite restaurant menus and at the fine accommodations across the province."
