Exhibitors and fair goers experienced a colourful fall weekend when the Maritime Fall Fair unfolded recently in Halifax.
A professional bull riding show drew people to the Exhibition Park event as did the majestic six and eight horse teams of heavy horses. The ever popular petting zoo, the rabbit and poultry displays, and the extremely impressive handiwork all enticed families to spend some time at the Fair and nowhere were the line ups longer than for the treat of a Prince Edward Island baked potato.
Prince Edward Island sent some of its finest beef cattle to the competition and were awarded some top wins to prove it, from Judge Jeff Faust of Ontario who appraised the beef classes. The co-ordinator of the beef show was Verna Docherty with Trevor MacDonald proclaiming the results.
