May 23, 1997 The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission announced today that it has issued its Decision and Order (No. P.970522-1) in the matter of the propane cylinder and tank rental rates charged by Irving Oil Limited, which issue was dealt with at a hearing into complaints by Irving's customers held on 25 March 1997. The Commission ordered that as the rates charged had not received the prior approval of the Commission, any fees collected by Irving Oil Limited relating to the year 1997 which were in excess of the rates currently approved by the Commission must be refunded to customers within sixty days from the date of the Decision and Order.
