February 12, 2003 * Agriculture and Forestry [to Oct 2003]Charles Coles, Returning Officer for the Prince Edward Island Marketing Council, announced there will be an election for two positions on the Egg Producers of Prince Edward Island. Nathan Burns, Freetown; Leith Murray, Baltic; and Peter Vriends, Covehead have been nominated. Election ballots will be sent to registered producers in the province with the deadline for the return of ballots being February 28, 2003. Mr. Coles has also reported that Anthony Nabuurs of Montague has been elected by acclamation to represent Kings County on the Prince Edward Island Hog Commodity Marketing Board. Under the Hog Commodity Marketing Regulations, a board member whose term of office has expired but who has not served two full terms is considered re-elected in the event that no nominations are received.
