High Tides

* Community and Cultural Affairs [to Jun 2007]
Emergency Measures Organization is advising of unusually high tide levels around the coast of Prince Edward Island for the next couple of days. Today, along the North Shore, high tide will be between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Also for today, high tide will be between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the South Shore. Environment Canada advises that these conditions are being caused by low pressure systems in the region. Tides approximately 15-20 cm higher than normal are expected. Local flooding of low lying coastal areas should be anticipated.
