Help Desk NOW (HDN), a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, today announced it is locating an inbound customer support centre in Bloomfield, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
HDN will lease approximately 9,000 square feet of space, and expects to employ over 100 people, in a new facility currently under construction in the Bloomfield Business Park and scheduled for completion in early May.
HDN president Mike Riek is forecasting 2002 will be a year of strong growth for the company.
"There is tremendous opportunity for further employment in Prince Edward Island, and we will continue to accept resumes," said Mr. Riek. "We believe we will need as many as 1,500 new employees in North America."
HDN personnel will be in Prince Edward Island over the next couple of months to place notices in the local media and carry out additional interviews and testing to finalize staffing requirements.
The Honourable Mike Currie, Minister of Development and Technology, says this is a great opportunity for those seeking employment in the West Prince area.
"Help Desk NOW has built a successful operation in Newfoundland, showing a commitment to the community by employing over four hundred employees," said Minister Currie.
Those interested in employment may apply online at www.helpdesknow.com.
Earlier today, Minister Currie awarded the tender to complete construction of the facility in the Bloomfield Business Park to Wellington Construction of Wellington, Prince Edward Island.
