The Department of Education has selected Hambros Canada to act as public-private partnership consultants on the Athena School Project.
Hambros Canada provides advisory services to governments and private sector companies in Canada and other countries who are interested in infrastructure development through public-private partnerships. The Hambros Group has experience advising in sectors such as road, rail, education, health, information technology, power, water and wastewater, telecommunications and defence procurement.
Vicki Dimick of Chester, Nova Scotia, will be the lead consultant for the project. Mrs. Dimick, a former employee of the Nova Scotia Department of Finance, is experienced in arranging partnerships in education, highways and correctional facilities.
The first step in the process will be the preparation of the Request for Qualification document for the Athena School Project which is expected to be released in the fall.
The Procurement Team made up of representatives of various Government Departments will be supported by a Steering Committee and Advisory Committees. These committees will include representatives of the Athena School Community and professional associations.
