Minister of Justice and Public Safety Doug W. Currie today offered his congratulations to Laura Stewart of Charlottetown for winning the 2010 Financial Fitness Challenge, sponsored by the Canadian Securities Administrators.
“The annual Financial Fitness Challenge is a great way for young people to test their financial savvy and learn good financial habits,” said Mr. Currie.
Laura Stewart, a recent graduate from Holland College, was one of over 17,000 Canadian youth aged 15 to 21 to participate in this year’s challenge. She has won a notebook computer, which was presented to her by Mr. Currie.
The Financial Fitness Challenge is sponsored annually by the Canadian Securities Administrators and is administered locally through the Prince Edward Island Securities Office, Department of Justice and Public Safety.
