Directors Elected To Milk Board

Charles Coles, Returning Officer for the Prince Edward Island Marketing Council, reported that directors have been elected to the Prince Edward Island Milk Marketing Board. The nomination deadline was August 31, 2000.

Eric Phillips, O'Leary; Ronald Maynard, Tyne Valley RR1 and Dale Hickox, Vernon River will represent the O'Leary, Summerside and Montague districts respectively. As the only nominees from their respective districts, Messrs. Phillips, Maynard and Hickox are elected by acclamation.

The Prince Edward Island Milk Marketing Board consists of nine members with eight members representing the milk sector and one member representing the cream sector. Members are elected on a staggered basis to three-year terms so that in each year, three board positions are up for election.
