February 28, 2007 * Agriculture, Fisheries & Aquaculture [to Jun 2007]The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture now has a new presence in western Prince Edward Island. Steven Crozier, a safety net officer with the department, is working out of the Access PEI office in O’Leary on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week to serve producers in the west Prince area. Eva Rogerson, MLA for West Point-Blomfield, expressed her pleasure with the move, saying it will make it more convenient for producers to obtain services from the department. “I have been working hard with a group of local producers to obtain this added service, given the importance of the agriculture industry in this area,” she said. “I am very pleased that the Minister, Jim Bagnall, has agreed to this request.” Mr. Crozier can be reached at the Access PEI offices in O’Leary at 859-3905. The Department also maintains a toll-free line to its Agriculture Information Centre at 1-866-PEI-FARM.Media Contact: Eva Rodgerson
