Saturday, March 7, Kellogg's Tony the Tiger will be at the Charlottetown Civic Centre "to bring out the tiger" in the crowd of fans celebrating the return of Olympic gold medalist, Dave 'Eli' MacEachern.
Starting at 5:30 p.m., the lively and fun-spirited Tony the Tiger, along with musical entertainment, Chaisson Celtic Tide, will be revving up the supporters and well-wishers on hand to congratulate MacEachern.
To ensure MacEachern receives a warm and hearty Island welcome, Kellogg's has provided 2,500 double-sided fan cards stating "Welcome home Eli. PEI is proud of you" and "Dave MacEachern is GR-R-REAT!" for the party. In addition, Tony the Tiger will be giving out samples of Rice Krispies squares and small boxes of his famous Kellogg's Frosted Flakes cereal.
The Province of Prince Edward Island and the City of Charlottetown are co-hosting Dave "Eli" MacEachern's welcome home party and admission is free. The party will give the opportunity for Islanders to show their support and offer their congratulations to MacEachern on his tremendous achievement. All MacEachern fans are invited to attend.
