Crapaud Exhibition - Beef Shorthorn Classes

Entries from the farm of Seymour Hurry in Winsloe dominated the Beef Shorthorn ring at the Crapaud Exhibition last Saturday and were named Breeders Herd at the show. Evergreen Dunlop was judged the Grand Champion, and the Reserve Grand Champion honours went to another Hurry entry, Huberdale Helen, which was also named the Senior Champion. The Reserve Senior Champion was D&L Vera's Sparkle, from the farm of Roger Docherty and David Livingstone, Hampshire. Hurry's entries also topped the junior classes, winning both the Junior and Reserve Junior Champions.

Following are the results from the Beef Shorthorn classes.

Bull calf, born in 1998: 1. Evergreen Hurricane (Seymour Hurry); 2. Spruce Brook Jimmy Rae (Roger Docherty).

Heifer calf, born in 1998: 1. Evergreen High Hope (Seymour Hurry); 2. Evergreen Haley (Brodie Hogan); 3. Auldene Daisy (Timmy MacDonald).

Yearling heifer, born in 1997: 1. Evergreen Gumdrop (Seymour Hurry); 2. Cloverdale Kiss Me Bad Guy (Calvin Baglole); 3. D&L Martina (D&L Shorthorns).

Two Year Old with calf at foot: 1. Spruce Brook Cleopatra (Roger Docherty).

Cow with calf at foot: 1. Huberdale Helen (Seymour Hurry); 2. D&L Vera's Sparkle (D&L Shorthorns); 3. MSJ Lillian (Timmy MacDonald).
