Mike Barrington, who is often referred to as The King of Cocktails, will be on Prince Edward Island this Thursday, February 8, along with Jan Westcott from Spirits Canada as part of the Poker Table promotion which takes place at all PEI Liquor Control Commission stores. To be eligible to win the poker tables, consumers must purchase whisky products from the participating Spirits Canada member companies, and deposit the receipt/ballot in the appropriate ballot box.
As part of this whisky promotion, Mike Barrington will be giving two seminars on Thursday, February 8 at 10 a.m. at West Royalty and at 2 p.m. at Summerside’s Granville Street store. At these seminars, Mr. Barrington will give an overview of the world of whisky, different tastes, distilling, etc. He will demonstrate how to make exceptional cocktails simply and easily. Some of the featured cocktails will include: The Crown Royal Manhattan, The Prairie Passage with Gibsons Finest and Amarula, The Rusty Nail with Dewars Scotch and Drambuie, The Rob Roy with Johnnie Walker Red or Grants Family Reserve and Martini Rossi Sweet Vermouth, and The Mint Divine with Wisers Deluxe.
Barrington, who has done work for Spirits Canada and Daigeo in the past, will also be handling questions from the floor on various spirits related topics.
