August 31, 2006 * Health [to Jan 2010]Dr. Lamont Sweet, Chief Health Officer, is offering some helpful tips as concert goers prepare for the upcoming weekend event at the Charlottetown Entertainment Centre. Dr. Sweet noted, “As this event is to be held outdoors in late summer, some simple yet effective efforts could help avoid some unnecessary inconveniences and health risks. As the event is happening over many hours, it is good to bring along a large sealed bottle of water and any prescription medications required throughout the day.” The Chief Health Officer also advised to apply sunscreen, wear comfortable shoes and a hat, and bring along a raincoat in case of inclement weather. As no chairs are allowed at the concert, the public is encouraged to bring a light blanket. First Aid stations will be operating throughout the day at the event. Media Contact: Rod Stanley
