Cause of New Perth Home Fire Ruled Undetermined

The Fire Marshal’s Office has ruled the cause of the home fire in New Perth on April 22, 2010, as undetermined.

Based on information gathered from witness statements, Deputy Fire Marshal David Rossiter is attributing the probable cause of the fire to an electrical short in a piece of equipment in the living room. The probable cause can not be verified from evidence at the scene due to the extent of destruction to the structure.
