After a slow start to the season, Brookvale is up and running with 6 out of 10 runs open for skiing and snowboarding. When the temperature drops to minus levels for sustained periods of time, the snowmaking technology available at Brookvale coupled with the dedicated staff, allows sufficient snow for activity on the slopes.
This past weekend was very busy at Brookvale Winter Activity Park as they hosted a number of events. The ski escape weekend with Karen Stemmle and Lisa Savijarvi went ahead as planned with sponsorship by the PEI Ski Association. There was also a Level 1 cross-country technical clinic held and a snowboarding clinic. On Friday, January 29, Salomon Ski's held a "demo" day and on Saturday, January 30, Rossignol Ski's held their own "demo" day.
During the week of February 1-8, 1999, all 1998 coupons are redeemable and everyone is encouraged to make use of last year's purchases prior to the deadline.
