Book of Condolences for Jack Layton

Hon. Kathleen Casey, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, has arranged for a Book of Condolences to be opened at Province House for Islanders who wish to express their condolences to the family and friends of the late Jack Layton.

“Jack Layton was a great man who dedicated his life to the people of Canada,” said Speaker Casey. “This is a way for Islanders to express sincere sympathies to Mr. Layton's family.”

The Book of Condolences can be signed at Province House (165 Richmond Street, Charlottetown) from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. It will remain at Province House until Friday, September 2, 2011.
