Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary volunteers in Prince Edward Island will receive free driver’s license renewals, in addition to free annual motor vehicle registration and license plates, says Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal Minister Alan McIsaac.
“Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary members provide assistance to the Canadian Coast Guard and the Department of National Defence with search and rescue and safe boating programs,” said Minister McIsaac. “These individuals spend countless hours
helping Islanders, and I am very proud of these dedicated volunteers.”
The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (P.E.I.)’s mandate is to save lives on the water. Volunteers work to educate water-users about safe practices, provide marine search and rescue service, and prevent injury and loss of life.
