July 29, 2016 Transportation, Infrastructure and EnergyUsers of the waters around and under the Cascumpec Bridge are asked to use extra caution when traveling in this area during construction of the new bridge. Boat and watercourse users are advised that the replacement of the Cascumpec Bridge on Route 12 over the Mill River creates a construction site whereby safety hazards exist below the bridge and within the watercourse area surrounding the bridge. Throughout the construction period the navigational channel below the bridge will vary in location, and will be restricted in width from time to time. Markers will be in place to indicate the proper channel for boat travel. Users are advised to use caution at all times while in the area of and navigating below the bridge and to operate at speeds that do not create risk or inconvenience for other users of this waterway and the construction workers in the area.Media Contact: Ron Ryder
