2005 PEI Visitors Guide Ready To Go

* Tourism [to Jan 2010]
With the cold temperatures and snow on the ground, many people look forward to the release of the Prince Edward Island Visitors Guide to begin planning for their summer vacation. The 2005 edition is now complete and ready for distribution to potential visitors who are considering Prince Edward Island as their vacation destination for the coming season. Tourism PEI Minister, Philip Brown recently visited the distribution centre in West Royalty to check out the newest edition as staff began mailing them out.

This year, the design team at Tourism Prince Edward Island has come up with a strong and colourful new look which highlights the multitude of activities the Island has to offer. The editorial pages are topped by a running series of photos that clearly communicate that PEI is not only scenic, but very lively. Also new this year is an eight-page article featuring Prince Edward Island’s culture, from the busy music scene to the fine cuisine. The 2005 Visitors Guide has 232 pages and is complete with all the information required to plan a vacation, from events and attractions, to listings for more than 1000 accommodations. And, as always, the rich photography of Prince Edward Island is enough to lure a traveller all on its own. Tourism industry partners and the travelling public will be impressed by the high calibre of the 2005 Visitors Guide.

Minister Brown noted that, “The calls are already coming in requesting our 2005 vacation planning kit; they are bound to be impressed by this extensive publication. PEI’s Visitors Guide is often considered to be one of the best in the country, and it is a credit to the staff at Tourism PEI who produce the materials almost completely in-house. Operators agree that the PEI Visitors Guide is a key marketing tool for them. ”

In addition to the release of the 2005 Visitors Guide, updated versions of Island Value Vacations, the Highway Map and the Super Values Coupon Book round out the 2005 Prince Edward Island vacation planning kit.

The guide is printed in both English and French and is also provided on-line in both languages at www.peiplay.com or www.ipevacances.com.
