Education Minister Mildred Dover advised today that the public can access the 2004-2005 school calendar through the Department of Education Web site and the school board Web sites.
“I’d like to clarify for the public that the first day of class for students in grades 1 to 12 is Tuesday, September 7. Holland College and UPEI students begin classes Wednesday, September 8,” said the minister. “We are getting calls from parents wishing to confirm this date. We suggest that they visit our Web site at www.edu.pe.ca to access the full school calendar which they may find helpful in planning school and family activities throughout the year.”
The school calendar is developed each March by the Department of Education according to the Prince Edward Island School Act.
