November 18, 2014 Health PEI CEO Dr. Richard Wedge issues the following statement to clarify a recent media report on the death of a patient of the Mount Herbert Addictions Facility:“I deeply regret the pain Mr. Gallant suffered and the pain his family continues to feel every day. Comments attributed to me in the media were taken out of context and have, sadly, brought even more grief to this gentleman’s family and friends. “It is a tragedy anytime someone takes their life, and I know that no words can adequately address the pain.
