February 5, 1999 * Agriculture and Forestry [to Oct 2003]Robert Morrison, Returning Officer for the Prince Edward Island Marketing Council, announced there will be an election to nominate a director to the Hog Commodity Marketing Board. Frank Johnston, Suffolk and Ian Mutch, Mount Mellick have been nominated to contest the Queens County position. Election ballots will be sent to registered producers in the county with the deadline for the return of ballots being March 1, 1999. Mark Pridham, Huntley has been elected by acclamation to represent the Prince County position. Morrison also announced that William Hicken, Montague and Peter Vriends, Covehead have been elected by acclamation to the Egg Commodity Marketing Board.
