Health and Wellness
The Province of Prince Edward Island will be cheering on our Island athletes competing in the Special Olympics National Summer Games in Vancouver, says Health and Wellness Minister Doug Currie.

“Islanders send their best wishes to Team P.E.I. Our athletes are great ambassadors of our province and I know they will represent Prince Edward Island proudly on the national stage,” said the minister. “They should be extremely proud of their hard work and achievements.”

Prince Edward Island will be represented by 44 athletes and 18 volunteer coaches and mission staff at the games being held July 8-12. Island athletes will be competing in 10-pin bowling, 5-pin bowling, golf, powerlifting, soccer, softball, swimming and athletics.
