Government website outage

On Sunday, May 25, there will be a Core Government and Health Internet/VPN Outage at the Sullivan Building and QEH Data Centres. This Internet outage is required for Bell Aliant to upgrade their infrastructure.

There will be intermittent outages within the timeframe of 2:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on May 25.

This outage will affect all connections to the Internet for Health and Government Departments. Internet connections for Education will not be affected.

Items affected include:

• DVS;

• Government website;

• Webmail (Groupwise);

• Groupwise email incoming/outgoing (Health PEI internal mail will be accessible);

• VPN access for all Health PEI and Government departments (Department of Education and Early Childhood Development not affected); and

• VPN to the Clinical Information System (CIS) and the Drug Information System for Health PEI and CSSL will be affected during this outage.
