November 8, 2013 Health PEI’s provincial flu vaccination program will be offering a “walk-in” flu clinic in Charlottetown this Saturday (November 9) to help address the strong demand from Islanders wanting to get their flu shot. This Saturday afternoon, Islanders wanting to get the flu shot can do so without making an appointment by going to the flu vaccination clinic being held at the Jack Blanchard Hall (next to Holy Redeemer Church in Charlottetown) from 1:15 p.m. until 4 p.m. The flu vaccine is free this year for seniors age 65 and over, children aged 6 - 59 months, pregnant women and household contacts of pregnant women. A $7 administration fee will be charged to all others wishing to be vaccinated at the clinics.Health PEI is reminding Islanders that the flu vaccination is available by appointment. To get a flu vaccine, Islanders will need to call the toll-free flu vaccination program number – 1-855-354-4358(4FLU) to make an appointment.
