* Community Services and Seniors [to May 2015]
Positive relationships between generations were highlighted in submissions to this year’s Intergeneration Week storytelling, poetry and song contest, says Valerie E. Docherty, Minister of Community Services and Seniors.

“The Seniors’ Secretariat storytelling contest was launched this summer, and resulted in entries from people of all ages across the province,” said Minister Docherty. “I want to congratulate everyone who submitted stories and poems. These wonderful and original writings beautifully demonstrate how people of all ages can nurture understanding, respect and appreciation for each other.”

A panel, including representatives from the Seniors’ Secretariat, reviewed the entries and selected 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize entries. This year’s award winners range in age from 11 to 84 years.
