The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission (PEILCC) has completed its second annual fundraising campaign in support of the Canadian Red Cross on Prince Edward Island and is pleased to have generated $39,330 to help with the delivery of programs and services in the province, says Minister of Tourism and Culture Robert Henderson.
“The Red Cross provides invaluable services to Islanders including first-aid training, disaster relief, swimming and water safety, and community health promotion,” said Minister Henderson. “The PEILCC is pleased to support the Canadian Red Cross on Prince Edward Island as it strives to improve the health and wellness of Islanders.”
Donations were accepted from PEILCC customers during the month of July.
“We are pleased to be able to continue our fundraising partnership with the PEILCC for a second year,” said Laura Johnson-Montigny, Provincial Director of the Canadian Red Cross. “The Canadian Red Cross appreciates the commitment of both PEILCC staff and customers in raising these funds.”
In the last two years the PEILCC has generated over $88,000 in donations to assist the Canadian Red Cross on the Island.
