Congratulations go out to Keith Dewar

Health and Wellness
Congratulations to Keith Dewar on his new position as President and CEO of Saskatchewan's Regina-Qu'Appelle Health Region, says Health and Wellness Minister Doug Currie.

“Dewar has worked diligently over the past five years to help bring our health-care system into stronger footing,” said Minister Currie. “His knowledge and expertise will most certainly be missed; however, we wish him all the best in his new position.”

Dewar was appointed by Premier Robert Ghiz in January 2010 as the first CEO of Health PEI, Prince Edward Island’s newly created integrated provincial health system. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Dewar was Prince Edward Island’s Deputy Minister of Health beginning in February 2008.

“Keith and I have had a tremendous working relationship, and I know he will continue to thrive in Regina,” said Minister Currie. “Having such a large and distinguished organization, such as Regina-Qu'Appelle Health Region, seek out our CEO, speaks very highly of Keith and the work he has accomplished here in Prince Edward Island.”

“I also want to recognize and thank the Health PEI Board of Directors for their tremendous work during Keith’s tenure. I know the Board will be working diligently during this time of transition as they seek a new CEO.”
