Statement: Premier Robert Ghiz on the passing of Peter Lougheed

Today, Canada lost a remarkable Canadian. Mr. Lougheed was a friend to many and a highly dedicated public servant who made a major contribution to the success and the future of the province of Alberta.

Mr. Lougheed will always be remembered as a gentleman, an Albertan and a true Canadian who had shared his strong vision for the province of Alberta and for Canada.

On behalf of all Islanders, I want to pass on my sincere sympathies to Mr. Lougheed’s family, friends and colleagues.
