Prince Edward Island Legislative Assembly to open November 13, 2012

Premier Robert Ghiz announced today that the Second Session of the Sixty-fourth General Assembly of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island will be prorogued and the Third Session will officially open on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 2 p.m.

The highlight of Opening Day will be the Speech from the Throne, to be delivered by the Honourable H. Frank Lewis, Lieutenant Governor, shortly after 2 p.m.

The public is welcome to attend the opening and view the proceedings from the Public Gallery. It will also be broadcast live on Eastlink Television and streamed on the Assembly’s website at www.assembly.pe.ca.

The first day of regular Legislative Assembly business (including question period) is scheduled for Wednesday, November 14, beginning at 2 p.m.
