Health PEI advises the public that beginning on Monday, August 27 at 7 a.m., patients should go to the new Dr. Joseph A. and Eileen McMillan Ambulatory Care Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital if they have pre-scheduled appointments for the following ambulatory care services:
• Dr. Patrick Gill Asthma Education Centre
• Eye Clinic
• Same-Day Treatment Unit
• Special Testing Services (cardio-respiratory, echocardiography and vascular lab)
• Specimen Collection
Patients are reminded to register at the Admitting Department upon arrival before proceeding to the appropriate department for their appointment. Volunteers and hospital staff will help patients find their way to new department and service locations within the centre, and they will receive directions when they register.
Additional ambulatory care services will continue to relocate from throughout the hospital to the new Dr. Joseph A. and Eileen McMillan Ambulatory Care Centre over the next month to minimize disruption to patients and staff. The public will be advised as services relocate to the new centre.
