Farmers Helping Farmers holding beef barbeque fundraiser

* Agriculture and Forestry [to May 2015]
The 28 Annual Farmers Helping Farmers beef barbeque is an opportunity to raise money to help farm families in Kenya while mixing and mingling with old friends.

The fundraiser will be held on Saturday, August 11, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Harrington Research Farm, civic number 1200 Brackley Point Road.

The menu is all Prince Edward Island products and includes barbequed steak, salad bar, new potatoes and strawberry shortcake.

Proceeds from the meal and sale of African crafts will be used to aid farm families in Kenya. The organization’s philosophy is to develop plans put forward by east African farmers and to provide the necessary support to be successful.
