MARITIME PROVINCES HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION
(Fredericton, NB) - The Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission (MPHEC) invites interested Maritime university students to submit an application to become a member of one of its advisory committees.
“There are no pre-requisites to become a member,” notes Mireille Duguay, Chief Executive
Officer of the Commission. “Applications are accepted from all university students in the
Maritimes interested in shaping the region’s post-secondary learning environment, now and for
the future.”
If selected, student members’ input will be sought on matters pertaining to Maritime university education, including program development and monitoring, data and research, among others.
Consideration of applications will begin April 10, 2012, and will continue until suitable
candidates have been chosen. For further information please visit the MPHEC website at
www.mphec.ca.
The Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission was established in 1974 to help
institutions and governments to enhance a post-secondary learning environment. The
commission's 20 members are drawn from the Maritime provinces, and represent higher
education institutions, provincial governments and the general public.
