Health PEI is advising the public that the O’Leary Health Centre walk-in clinic will be closed on Wednesday, October 19, due to insufficient physician coverage. Ambulatory services at the health centre will continue as scheduled.
Anyone with urgent medical needs should call 9-1-1 or seek immediate medical care at the Western Hospital emergency department when:
• experiencing discomfort or tightness in the chest,
• experiencing unusual shortness of breath,
• experiencing abdominal pain,
• experiencing prolonged and persistent headache or dizziness,
• an injury may require stitches or involve a broken bone,
• a child has prolonged diarrhea or vomiting, or
• a baby under the age of six months has a fever of 38̊C (100.4̊F) or higher.
The O’Leary Health Centre walk-in clinic will re-open on Thursday, October 20, as scheduled, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, please visit www.healthpei.ca.
