Stratford Public Library will see its hours of operation increase to meet the demand for services within the community, says Tourism and Culture Minister Robert Vessey.
“Library branches offer a wide variety of services to their patrons, including books, Internet access and research materials,” said the minister. “The Stratford Public Library is one of the busiest branches in the province. The additional hours will make it even easier for residents to access its services.”
A new employee has been hired to meet the demand for services in Stratford. The additional position will see the library open 35 hours a week, an increase of five hours.
The Stratford Public Library will now be open:
∙ Monday: closed
∙ Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m; 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
∙ Wednesday: 1 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
∙ Thursday: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
∙ Friday: 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
∙ Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
∙ Sunday: closed
The new position will also support the Cornwall Public Library for five hours a week to assist during existing operational hours.
