The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal will be re-routing traffic around two construction sites beginning Monday, October 18. The two locations are on the Meadowbank Road in Cornwall, and on Route 2 at the intersection of O’Leary Road.
On Meadowbank Road, traffic heading toward Cornwall will take a right onto Crosby Street, a left onto Alcan Drive, a left onto Pond Street and a right back onto Meadowbank Road. This alternate route will be in place beginning around 9 a.m. Monday morning and ending later that evening.
On Route 2 near O’Leary, traffic heading west will take a left onto route 14 at Coleman, then right onto route 140, Buchannan Road, then right onto route 148, Barclay Road, then right onto route 142, O’Leary Road, then left onto route 148, Gaspe Road, then right onto route 143 Howlan Road, then left back onto route 2. The detour is reversed for traffic heading east. Officials expect this detour to be in place for one week depending on weather.
Both of these detours will be clearly marked for drivers.
