New Emergency Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital is now Open and Treating Patients

As of 1 a.m. on Friday, June 25, the new Emergency Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is now open. The entrance to the new Emergency Department is located 50 feet past the old Emergency Department entrance.

Signage and directional markers have been put in place and security staff are onsite to ensure persons seeking emergency care know where to go when arriving at the hospital. Those persons seeking emergency care are reminded to bring their Health Card and list of medications when going to the Emergency Department.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as it continues to improve the provision of health care services for all Islanders.
