Hundreds of Islanders will go!For a Walk this Friday, June 4. Join go!PEI living launched the in 17 communities across the province and kicking off 2010 as the summer of Sneaker Fridays. “On June 4 we want all Islanders to lace up their sneakers and go for a walk,” said Minister Bertram. “Whether you take a walk during your lunch hour, walk around your community, or attend one of our planned go!PEI walking events, the most important aspect is that you are getting outside and getting moving.”
Sneaker Fridays are designed to show Islanders the many benefits that come with being physically active. On June 4, hundreds of students, communities, organizations and workplaces throughout the province will host fun, physically active opportunities that encourage people to participate and experience the joys of active living.
There will be 16 go!PEI walking events taking place on June 4, all are free to the public.
