Culture and Heritage Information Sessions Held Across Prince Edward Island

* Tourism and Culture [to May 2015]
Five information sessions will be held in March to provide details regarding various funding programs delivered by the Culture, Heritage and Libraries Division of the Department of Tourism and Culture. Affiliates of the Department, Music PEI and the PEI Arts Council, will also be onsite at the various locations.

“Following a consultation with the Regional Arts Council, it was suggested this particular division hold information sessions across Prince Edward Island,” said Minister of Tourism and Culture Robert Vessey. “Government and the dedicated staff at my Department, recognize the value of our cultural community. We are committed to working towards improving our communication to the cultural industry, and these information sessions are but one example of how we hope to achieve this commitment.”

The information sessions will be held beginning March 23, 2010 to March 30, 2010 in various locations across the province.

1. March 23, 2010 at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall in Woodstock, in partnership with the West Prince Arts Council.

2. March 24, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Evangeline School in Abrams Village, in partnership with Conseil scolaire communautaire Evangeline.

3. March 25, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Victoria Community Hall in Victoria, in partnership with the South Shore Arts Council and the Malpak Arts Council.

4. March 29, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Guild in Charlottetown, in partnership with the PEI Arts Council.

5. March 30, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the REACH Centre in Montague, in partnership with the Southern Kings Arts Council and the Eastern Kings Arts Council.

Invited presenters include representatives of Music PEI, the PEI Council of the Arts, the Department of Tourism and Culture, and Canadian Heritage.

Evangeline’s information session will be the designated French session. Bilingual information will be available at all information sessions.
